Watch Your Lady: A Positive Woman Who Never Loses Hope

*Puts on bifocals* Back in my day, we had to find all sorts of way to watch our favorite Asian dramas. I remember downloading a special video player just to get subtitles to work or scrounging Youtube for bits and pieces.

watch your lady korean drama

I binge-watched in college at some point during my junior or senior year because I liked APink and Eunji. It immediately became my favorite drama. The pacing is perfect as all 16 episodes are under 30 minutes, so you can watch this in a day or two.

Hmm I think my only rec is to watch Reply 1994 next as they have accents from all over Korea (the theme is kids coming to Seoul for university). Will keep an eye out for satoori dialect dramas though!

I thought Descendants of the Sun tops any list of Korean dramas. I watched Where Stars Land recently but was not satisfied with tge ending..Can you suggest some Kdramas like Descendants of the Sun? Like something cute, cheesy and romantic?

I have watched everything uh just mentioned in ur website and I went through the comments too and I have watched every drama which is mentioned in comments too can anyone suggest me a more better drama?

Featuring a female-led cast, this coming of age drama has great storylines and touches on serious topics such as mental health and domestic violence. The girls, who live together in a shared house in Seoul, all have very different personalities and you'll find yourself relating to each one. Eun-Jae is the shy one, Ye-eun is the bright vibrant one, Ji-won's the bubbly yet erratic one, Yi-na is the extravagant one, and Ye-ri's the responsible one. The drama explores how all the characters support each other as they navigate their way through relationships and adulting.

A wholesome drama about five doctors who have been friends since attending medical school together 20 years ago, and all share a love of music. This long-standing friendship is what makes it so joyful to watch. Despite the hardship of their day to day careers as doctors the gang remain compassionate through their passion for music. It's so good that producers have renewed the drama for another season, which is set to be released soon!

This drama has you playing an excruciating guessing game from the first episode. It begins with a snippet of the main character Sung Duk-seon, who is being interviewed alongside her husband, whose identity is hidden. The drama aims to make the viewer guess who her husband is, and the directors do a fantastic job of making us put together the pieces of the puzzle. Set in 1988, it shows us how life was before the age of mobile phones and social media, back where you actually had to leave the house to see your friends! It also brings back the nostalgia of being young and wanting to rush into adulthood, something everyone can relate to. Reply 1988 is one-third of the Reply series, and they're all totally binge-worthy.

A romantic comedy set between the present day and 400 years ago, complete with an alien twist. Cheong Song-yi (Jun Ji-hyun) is a typical celebrity actor at the peak of her career who meets Do Min-Jo (Kim Soo-hyun), her new neighbour and lecturer at her university. The two have bad first impressions of each other at first but are later manoeuvred into situations where they spend time getting to know each other. A heartstring-pulling drama with talented actors, hilarious moments, and a murder attempt, My Love From the Star is a definite must-watch.

If you're needing a new high-drama TV show to binge on, we suggest Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce), which follows three women, who are all thriving in their careers, as they navigate the highs and lows of their rocky romantic relationships. Something else that is similarly a light-hearted watch is Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha which sees an intelligent dentist meet a handsome stranger after moving to a seaside town. We're sold!

However, if apocalyptic horror is more your vibe, you'd be better suited to watching Sweet Home: a thriller that sees the baffled residents of an apartment complex join forces to fight a literal monster invasion. Or how about hunting down a villainous drug lord in Narcos-Saint?

The struggles faced by characters in k-drama storylines can inspire viewers from any cultural background. As an example, Chang cites Han Ji-pyeong, a character in the popular drama Start-Up. Viewers enjoyed watching the character, played by Kim Seon-ho, as he overcame daunting odds to become a successful investor.

Ah, reality television. A stellar way to ignore the state of the world and focus on what's important: other people's drama. The genre has been around since the '70s, but didn't get popular until the '90s when MTV gifted us the powerhouse that was and forever will be The Real World (opens in new tab). After that, we saw a boom of reality TV content. From Bunnies revealing what it's really like to live in the Playboy Mansion to belting your heart out for a golden ticket to Hollywood, networks couldn't get enough of the stuff.

What's the best season to watch as a beginner? For some great nostalgia and iconic lines (opens in new tab) ("Kim, would you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister's going to jail!"), the early seasons are the best.

What's the best season to watch as a beginner? Season 1 shows the seeds of Sunset's long-running storylines, including Christine's feud with Chrishell and Christine and Mary's estranged friendship. Or, if you want more workplace drama than interpersonal, check out Tampa.

If you're really into the Bridgerton time period but you're looking for something a little grittier, you should make Harlots your next watch. The series revolves around Margaret Wells (Samantha Morton), a brothel owner and mother of two daughters who relocates her business to a posh area of London in the hopes of attracting wealthier clientele. That move puts her directly at odds with a rival madam, Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville), who runs an elite brothel that primarily serves the rich. There's plenty of scandal and rivalries and romance, but Harlots is also interesting for the way it normalizes sex work.

If Bridgerton was your first binge of a period piece that's been unstuffed from the rigid stuffiness of the typical old-timey drama, then check out Apple TV+'s Dickinson, which is like a direct wormhole between today's millennials and 19th century author Emily Dickinson. Emily, played by the wonderful Hailee Steinfeld, has aspirations to become a famous writer, while her traditional parents (Toby Huss and Jane Krakowski) prefer she settle down and be a housewife. The timeless story and era-appropriate clothing and sets are injected with modernity through present-day music (full on blasting tracks, not the undercover string quartet covers that Bridgerton did) and dialogue (pretty sure they didn't say "stoked" back then), adding a fresh coat of paint to a genre otherwise reserved for the olds. Also of extreme importance, Wiz Khalifa appears as Emily's obsession, Death.

WHY WE LOVE IT: I watched this movie again just this week and was completely resubmerged into the desperation, heartbreak, and passion that is The Titanic. You truly feel like you are on the ship with the characters and feel their joys, losses, and pains as if they were your own. While this is one of the most romantic movies of all time, it is also packed with action to entertain everyone.

While Koreans celebrate Chuseok with friends and family by visiting their ancestral hometowns, we recommend that you include this must-watch K-drama in your Chuseok holiday celebrations and yes, keep tissues handy.

Chuseok celebrations also include playing traditional folk games to spend more time and bond with family and loved ones. So, this lovely and heartwarming drama about family bonding, parent-child bond, and giving love a second chance makes for a perfect family watch.

My Unfamiliar Family is the perfect K-drama that showcases how important family is and that no matter what blood is always thicker than water and thus makes it for the most ideal K-drama to watch on this joyous occasion.

Recently, must watch Korean drama Are You Human Too? is on the bandwagon of cyborg theme in dramaland. With its two opening episodes on June 4 and June 5, it garnered 5.2 percent and 5.9 percent, respectively, nationwide. 2ff7e9595c
